At technology I made a mini Chopping Board. We were given a piece of wood and had to draw an idea of what we wanted our chopping board to look like. I made mine a oval shape we had to add cooking oil once it was done so it didn't get any unwanted pieces of little wood bits. Other people had a choice to make a shape of an animal or object and made some kind of decoration. I chose to make mine a chopping board.

Lost In The Amazon
Lost In The Amazon
It was the summer of 1984 I was getting ready to go on Honeymoon with my husband Mitchell. We were going to a resort in the Amazon. I’m writing this as I am packing, For our honeymoon. Our flight is in 45 minutes and we live a half-hour from the airport. We are in the cab on the way to the airport. We are so excited for our honeymoon. As I walk onto the plane I see all these couples together thinking, They must be going on honeymoon too. We sit near a couple with 2 very loud children and my patience is very bad and I can’t keep calm while there are children yelling behind me.
It’s been 2 hours on the plane and everyone seems to be sleeping. I just woke up from a nap and I had nothing better to do than write this. We are just over halfway from our destination and I'm starving. My first meal is in 30 minutes and I can’t wait that long to eat. My husband Mitchell is dreaming away while I’m here writing this. I fall asleep and the only thing I wake up to is everyone screaming 0f fear and I can’t help but wonder why the plane starts spinning upside down and going towards the Amazon jungle. I start screaming too.
As I feel the plane sliding on the wet muddy ground I start to feel nauseous and everything goes blank. I wake up to see no one. Just me and the shattered glass on the floor of the plane and I start to panic. As I run out of the torn down door. I see a few of the other passengers that were on the plane and I scream “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!?!” They reply with He’s gone and so are our children and all of our husbands. I reply with “WELL LET'S GO FIND THEM THEY COULDN’T HAVE GOTTEN FAR”
As the women that were on the plane sigh in disbelief, I get them up and off the logs that they were sitting on and I drag them along with me to find all of our missing family. I remember we needed food. We could be out here for nights so we rummaged through the destroyed plane and tried to find food and blankets. All we could find is rank 3-minute meals but it will do. As we tramp through the forest in the muddy trenches we notice something moving on the tree’s Karen the oldest of all of us screams “IT IT IT’S… AN ANACONDA”
We all scream as we run from the extremely large anaconda. We see a Puma running straight towards us. We try to run in a different direction and the puma and anaconda meet paths and fight to the death. We were all running as fast as we could. But we only have one option to get away from either the puma or anaconda. We can either jump off the waterfall or DIE!!! As all 6 of us look at each other I count to three and we jump!
Karen didn’t jump. As we fall into the water something pushes her off the cliff edge. I tremble in fear to only see a large snake fall in with her. We all scream as we fall into the water we swim to the edge faster than I've ever seen anyone swim. As we climb up to the ground we see a snake floating in the water. Bethany says “ Why isn’t it chasing us? '' as we stare at the water for a bit we see Karen swimming while holding the snake. As we look at each other with confusion in our eyes. We hear Karen say “I KILLED IT!!” She brings the snake with her while she's climbing up to the ground. The snake's eyes open. Karen doesn’t notice because she's too busy bragging about her kill.
The snake slowly opens it's mouth and I pull the pocket knife out of my backpack and cut the snake's head off Karen screams in fear. I pull her off of the ground and we all run towards the sunny part of the forest. We slow down as we see footprints. A human's footprints! YES YES YES WE’RE GOING THE RIGHT WAY. As we all run towards the footprints we see a shining light coming from the trees. We see a tribe of people dancing around a fire with some big thing hanging above the fire. Karen screams “THAT’S MY HUSBAND!!” As we make a plan I run towards them with my knife……. Oh S!!t that was a bad idea. We all run around the fire while Karen tries to untie her husband Tim. I quickly light a fire and put a branch in the fire trying to scare these strange people but it's too late…
Tim ends up falling into the fire after Karen unties him we grab him out but it’s too late he loses all of his hair. We have no time! I say in a rude manner We all run through the muddy damp forest. I ask Tim Where he had been, he says “with everyone else” Even Mitchell!!? “Yes but I ended up losing them after the crazy people took me”
It started raining while the sunsets, so we found a dry place under a tree to stay for the night. The next day I wake up before everyone and take a walk to the river to get clean. I notice a noise coming from down the river a bit so I go to check it out and all of a sudden I feel my feet getting bitten. I scream and swim towards Karen and the rest of them are trying to get me out of the river. I got out of the river and we all ran back to where we were sleeping and got our stuff and got the hell outta here.
We tramp through the forest until we stumble across the resort we were supposed to be staying and the rest of our families aren’t there. We go to our rooms only to see no one there. I go to sleep because I am absolutely exhausted. The next morning I hear a voice coming from outside. I run to see what it is and It’s Mitchell leading all of the people who he was lost with walking to the resort. I run up to him and hug him like in all of those romance movies. We go back to the resort and have the best honeymoon ever.
